Hamz was born in North Carolina, raised along the east coast from New Jersey to Florida, living in over 14 different states while being raised by a single mother of 4. Influenced by the streets at an early age initiated bad choices and jail time by the age of 17. After a 30 day stay at the juvenile facility he was released. Still having run ins with the law he was in and out of St Petersburg Florida's County Jail. After residing in Florida for seven years, the decision was made to move to Southern California. Traveling from San Diego to Los Angeles County. "My music is self explanitory" -Hamz With his versatile lyrics and wide variety of sounds, his music can reach the ears of many. Hamz brings to his music the realism of living life on the move. City to city, state to state, giving you his life in the realest way possible. It was during one of his brother's studio session when Hamz was first influenced to make the decision to focus on his music. Upon completion and release of his first debut mixtape "Str8 Drop", Hamz learned that in the music industry things aren't always what they seem. He started dealing with some people in the industry, but has always kept his career in his own hands and invested in his own future. He has never been signed to any record label, and is currently unsigned, but is in the process of establishing his own entertainment company to release his own music and video production company under. His street album entitled, "In Da Streets To The Industry", hosted by Far Rock Jah, was his follow up sophomore project which was highly anticipated and did fairly well on the streets and online. The album also appeared on www.soundclick.com's music charts, for numerous months, in the high 100's. Hamz's music has also gotten spins on several online radio, and satelitte radio stations. Such as DJ Delz Hot or Not show, RealHipHop.com and The Corporal Ass Kick Show. His music also gets spins by DJ's overseas in Germany. Hamz has collaborate and worked with artists such as, Yukmouth (Of The Luniz), Supa Blanco (Of Lil Wayne's Platinum selling group Sqad Up), DJ Love Killed Kurt (of the Slip-N-Slide & Poe Boy DJ's), Ecay Uno (San Diego Ca), Far Rock Jah (Farrock Queens), DJ Prain X (Germany's Hottest DJ), DJ Nik Bean (LA's Mixtape King), and Bright Eye(featured on the multi-platinum selling album "Who Is Mike Jones"). His most recent street album presented by the Northern California rap legend Yukmouth (Of The Luniz), and hosted Los Angeles California's mixtape king DJ Nik Bean is out now!
